[Licensing] [Licensing Models] [License Server] [Licensing Tools]
In the deployment of a terminal server, the question of licensing policy is far from trivial. In corporate environments in particular, terminal servers have hundreds or even thousands of users. For this reason, it is very important to examine Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services licensing in detail.
In terminal server environments, licensing can be a challenging topic. The reason for this is that compliance to one terminal server licensing mode is technically enforced by the system while the other licensing mode is only monitored, which may lead to misinterpretation and technical issues.
